SWEA Colorado Scholarship
applications for scholarships to study Swedish language and culture in Sweden. The scholarship
is for $1000.You must travel to Sweden to study to be considered a candidate for this Scholarship.
A successful candidate will be the one who best promotes SWEA’s mission.SWEA is a global non-profit organization for Swedish women who are or have been living
abroad. SWEA’s mission is to promote the Swedish language and to share Swedish culture and

2. A personal essay describing who you are and your personal connection to Sweden, why you
want to study in Sweden and what you hope to get out of the experience.
3. Description of the Swedish course you intend to attend, including the organization/university that
offers it.
4. Explain how will you finance your trip and what expenses are you expecting.5. Submit your application via email, follow instructions in application.
Application deadline: Sunday April 12, 2026
As a part of the application process an interview will be scheduled with the most qualified
applicants during the months of April and May. At the end of the course, the student is
required to give a presentation at a SWEA event and write a brief report about the
experience.
